A judge has rejected Pierce College’s motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a student who was forbidden from handing out Constitutions on campus.
Financial and social costs that began 50 years ago are devouring this iconic university system.
We do not attempt to teach or pass on virtue, but merely to make a show of (supposedly) having it. We see this in today’s universities, where the formation of the person through intellectual pursuit has taken a backseat to the promotion of certain social positions (and the silencing of others).
The once-eminent Jesuit university has approved a queer-only campus residence. Georgetown officials crow this ‘is in keeping with our Catholic and Jesuit values.’
