A recent poll by the Pew Research Center shows Republican views on higher education have reached an all-time low. Parents have expressed concern over the suppression of conservative thought on campuses and are looking elsewhere as a result.
The dramatic incidences of violence on college campuses across the country have distracted from a deeper problem. The orthodoxy that pervades the American university system has alienated professors who hold non-conforming views.
The religious advocacy group Alliance Defending Freedom recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of a Students for Life chapter charging Queen’s College of New York with viewpoint discrimination. The events that led up to the lawsuit represent a growing trend of discriminatory practices against pro-life women on college campuses.
