All cultures are, as it were, mongrel cultures – complex admixtures subject to flux and collision with others and undergirded ideally by the dynamism of liberty. What has emerged in contemporary society, however, is a multiculturalism of coercion, one that attempts forceful separation for the sake of cultural purity.

Christina Hoff Sommers, a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and author of “The War Against Boys” and “Who Stole Feminism?,” has coined the term “victim feminism,” a school of thought she believes exaggerates the sexual assault problem. Ms. Sommers has argued all along that the Obama model didn’t work. We get her take on what the change means.

Students hoping to start a conservative group at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point were told by student government officials earlier this month that their club was “dangerous” and promotes racism and hate speech. Only after threatening legal action and garnering support from a state lawmaker did college administrators step in and recognize the Turning Point USA chapter as an official student group.
The campus left at the University of Michigan is demanding the name C.C. Little, a former university president and eugenicist, be erased from a university classroom building.
Yet Little’s detractors conveniently overlook he co-founded a group with Margaret Sanger that would later become known as Planned Parenthood, an organization the university continues to support.
