On Campus / Viewpoint Diversity

For a variety of reasons, in no American institution is the literal battle over what should define conservatives and progressives being fought more publicly than on our college campuses. This is not only true outside the classroom, but inside the classroom, through bipartisan movements like “Heterodox Academy” and others, scholars, students, and donors are pushing for greater “viewpoint diversity” in the teaching of the social sciences and return the university to its original identity as a place open to civil debate over great ideas. All with an end of preparing citizens who can deliberate with others over the future of their city, state, and nation.
