Explaining Trump’s Foreign Policy

Though it often seems that no clear ideological framework undergirds Trump’s foreign policy approach, his first months in office appear to reveal a pattern. A desire to ensure global order moderated by a reluctance to overextend military resources is perhaps a fitting way to describe the unfolding Trump doctrine.
