The Church of England on a child’s gender identity

In an effort to counter bullying in its 4,700 schools, the Church of England issued a new directive on gender identity to include transphobia. It states that “children should be afforded freedom from the expectation of permanence,” so as to protect their dignity from negative stereotyping.
